I purchased two live units a 12 and 9. I have a couple of issues. One is I have a hdi transducer on my trolling motor and the the downscan doesn’t work, and two if I switch from my throu the hull transducer to my 3 in1 transducer I lose dept reading. I have heard they are working on an update software for the problem. I think it’s very unfortunate that I spent over $5,000.00 and have those issues.
I had two HDS Live 12's installed on my new Ranger Angler; one at the bow and one at the helm. Love the views and the way they can be personalized to one's individual preferences.
I bought this product about two months ago and absolutely love it! I like the speed of the machine. I can also read the screen very well on bright sunny days.
The 12" Live unit that i have been using for the past month is incredibly clear and easy even in direct sunlight. the processor is fast and responds to touch as soon as you touch it.
I've been fishing walleye on lake Oahe all my life and the improvements on the HDS 12 Live over previous models and competitors is hands down the most user friendly and comprehensive graph I've ever used.
I've been using the Live 12 for over a month now, and I honestly don't think it could be any better. Images are crystal clear and there are so many options, I'm positive I haven't unlocked it's full potential. Trust me, this graph is phenomenal!
I had every HDS Unit since Lowrance produced them. When I went from the Gen 1 through the HDS Carbon there was an improvement in the definition but nothing like the HDS 9 and 12 Live Units. I have my units for only 2 Months and I’m glad I invested in them.
I’ve always ran Lowrance units on my boats! These new live units really take it to another level! They have unmatched speed and clarity! Very very user friendly units!
I purchased two of these units a month or so ago to replace the Carbon units on my boat. Wow, are they fast and clear. Not sure what all went into the engineering behind these LIVE units, but my hats off to LOWRANCE, you outdid yourselves again. Glad I made the change.
I installed 2 HDS Live 12s on my boat in January and ran them side-by-side with HDS Carbon 12 units. While they had the same interface, I did notice that the Live unit was faster. I am also running a Live 3-in-1 transducer on the bow and the images have been very good. I'm looking forward to replacing the Carbon units with the Live units and have a the Active Live transducer on order as well.
I have had my HDSlive systems for three weeks now and could not be happier. The picture clarity and refresh speed are so much better than the Gen 3 units.
Swapped my Carbon out for the HDS Live 12in unit and am amazed by the clarity of the side scan. With the new transducer I am able to see a lot further out to the side then I previously was able to see. Thanks Lowrance, cant wait for your trolling motors to come out.
I feel like the picture is a lot more crisp. These units have so much capability that I haven’t been able to get into much of it yet. It will be a fun season learning it all. Looking forward to getting Live Sight integrates into my system!
Love the ease of use of the touch screen and the clarity of the Active Imaging is amazing. I have run Lowrance imaging since they hit the market with the LSS1 and it is unbelievable where this technology has gone!
I had 2 of the 12” HDSLIVE units mounted on my new Nitro Z21 I bought ordered from Tracker in January. I received the boat last month and have spent every weekend on the water since. The clarity and separation is unbelievable and the ease of use is the best I have seen. Already looking at adding two more (another on the bow and the console and can’t wait till the new LiveSight transducer comes in.

I have two of the HDS12 Lives on my boat and they are my favorite Lowrance units that I have owned. Getting my phone notifications over the screen and the insane clarity of the units is awesome!
I purchased (2 HDS 12 Live units with the 3 in 1 transducers for my bass boat and man let me tell you. These things are sweet. The things I can see with the side scan is crazy. I am very impressed.
This unit was on a boat I recently purchased. I have to say....WOW! The resolution is unparalleled! Fish reveal is a feature I really enjoy. I am still learning things about this unit and how powerful its fish-finding capabilities really are.
